We’re officially in peak wedding season and we’re feeling the love! Beautiful brides in beautiful dresses ready to walk down the isle and exchange vows with their one and only. It doesn’t get much better, or does it?
Well yes, it does, especially for these brides who shared their special day with their breastfed babies! Being able to keep their little ones close and breastfeed them on their wedding day, added an extra special and loving quality to the whole day for these brides. For some, breastfeeding helped them enjoy a moment of calm amidst a busy and emotional day.

I loved having the special experience of breastfeeding my youngest on my wedding day. To me, it was all pros and no cons.
“I loved having the special experience of breastfeeding my youngest on my wedding day. To me, it was all pros and no cons. I got some amazing pictures to cherish for the rest of my life and hers. It didn’t hinder any moment of the day, getting ready to leaving at the end of the night. A regular day for her with a party at the end. I was able to dance with her, eat with her, I even was able to drink a bit (in moderation of course) and enjoy the night!
It was super empowering. And I wouldn’t have done anything different. With my oldest, I was kind of shy breastfeeding at large events or even just in places like the store or even the park. But this go around I am extremely proud of bond it has made and what my body does for my child that I will breastfeed anywhere, anytime! And I get express enough how amazing it is to have the pictures of feeding her throughout the day!” says Madison

Having that time in the morning, once I’d my hair and makeup done, to just sit and feed my boy was so special.
“Breastfeeding on my wedding day was a really special part for me. As you can imagine I was feeling emotionally all over the place (in a good way)! So having that time in the morning, once I’d my hair and makeup done, to just sit and feed my boy was so special. It gave me time to reconnect and have a moment to just focus entirely on what I love to do.
I then fed my boy after the ceremony in a bar! No one batted an eyelid and it just made me feel so empowered knowing I could settle my boy and give him time to have a moment after such a busy day! It also meant at night I could boob him to sleep and then get his pjs on. He had that comfort all day but so did I – it helped me switch off from the emotions and have that special time to us throughout one of the best days of my life.” said Jessica

I feel incredibly privileged that we were able to share a moment of quiet during an otherwise busy and overwhelming day.
“We had a small wedding with approximately 30 guests at a local hotel last November when my daughter was 9 months old. She was incredibly distracted all day and the photographer only just managed to capture the feeding pic I asked for.
It meant so much to me that our daughter was able to be there at our wedding and even more so that I was able to nurse her on this special day. I feel incredibly privileged that we were able to share a moment of quiet during an otherwise busy and overwhelming day.” says Lizzy

“My husband and I were a “covid couple”, our wedding was in 2020 during lockdown and we had 17 guests. Fast forward to 2021 and with restrictions being lifted, we planned a vow renewal service featuring our newest member of the family.
We had a full Catholic Mass which also included our vow renewal and son’s surprise christening. Having him there for our vow renewal was just so special and being able to breastfeed during the day felt so empowering!” said Elle
