As we approach World Breastfeeding Week (1-7 August) we’ve been keeping a close eye on our favourite celebrity breastfeeding mamas.
We’ve spotted lots of celebrities who’ve just welcomed babies and who are adapting to postpartum life, including breastfeeding around the clock!

1. Daisy Lowe shows her postpartum body
English fashion model Daisy Lowe gave birth to her first child, a daughter named Ivy, during Easter 2023. In July she posted a postpartum photo of herself in a black bra and pants. She began her caption: “3 months of motherhood & this is where I am at. I am still breastfeeding. I am still me…“. We love what a powerful message this was to send out to other new mamas.

Reality star Ferne McCann, who found fame in The Only Way is Essex, recently gave birth to her second child, a girl named Finty. Ferne posted some behind the scenes shots from her photoshoot with a magazine. In one of the candid photos Ferne was pictured happily breastfeeding her newborn daughter on a sofa. In her caption Ferne admitted to being completely lost in the newborn bubble and we can’t blame her!
3. Jessie J pumps around the clock
Back in May, singer Jessie J gave birth to her first child, a beautiful baby boy. After Jessie experienced years of fertility struggles, she is absolutely soaking up new mama life and we are here for it! She regularly keeps her fans and followers up-to-date with how she is adjusting to motherhood. Just recently she put up a very ‘real’ photo of herself sprawled along a sofa sleeping with her foot resting on an electric breast pump! Judging from all the other photos in her carousel, Jessie is expressing milk around the clock for her little one, and we commend her!
4. Montana Brown soothes her breastfeeding boobs
Montana Brown, who found fame on series 3 of Love Island, recently gave birth to her first child with boyfriend Mark. In early July she uploaded a series of photos of new mama life. Picture 5 showed her using breast therapy pads under her bra, as well as wearing silver nip cups. Perhaps Montana’s breasts needed some TLC, as they so often do when you’re feeding a newborn around the clock!

5. Nina Warhurst gets real about postpartum life
Finally it’s Nina Warhurst who makes our celebrity breastfeeding list for July 2023. BBC Breakfast presenter Nina Warhurst welcomed her daughter into the world in June of this year. It’s the second child for Nina and her husband, as they also have a little boy. In July Nina uploaded a series of photos to mark four weeks since having her daughter, and this included a beautiful black and white breastfeeding image. In the caption Nine honestly wrote about the realities of postpartum life: “I’d forgotten the anxiety of labour moving from the plan. I’d forgotten the swollen scars, bleeding breasts, mastitis fever, hormonal crashes, clots, constipation, codeine withdrawal, exhaustion…. “. We are wishing Nina al the very best in her postpartum recovery.
