It’s safe to say Cardi B broke the internet on 12 September 2024 when she let the world known she’d given birth to her third child, a daughter. In one of the images shared, Cardi B is pictured sitting upright in her hospital bed breastfeeding her newest bundle of joy. Her fans and followers were quick to congratulate Cardi B and say how wonderful it was she was giving breastmilk to her newborn baby.

Actor and singer Lea Michele gave birth to her second child, a baby girl named Emery Sol Reich, in August 2024. Since then the High School Musical alumni has been documenting life as a mama of two – and for her that has meant breastfeeding and pumping milk in various glamorous locations. One of her latest posts showed Lea Michele standing up using a double electric breast pump whilst clasping a designer handbag and boasting a full face of makeup. It looked like she was preparing for a big night out – but of course, baby’s needs come first!
Actress Jenna Dewan gave birth to her third child, a little girl named Rhiannon, back in June 2024. Since then she’s been documenting life of a busy mama of three – including the ups and down of breastfeeding. One of the biggest challenges Jenna faced was when she got mastitis in August. Mastitis is a painful inflammation of the breast(s) which can affect lots of breastfeeding mamas – especially in the early days of breastfeeding. Happily, Jenna was able to combat mastitis with a range of remedies, and she carried on breastfeeding successfully. In this post she thanked her followers for their suggestions, saying cold compresses, cabbage and thinly slice potatoes helped treat the inflammation.
Maddie Marlow, one half of the country music duo Maddie and Tae, posted a polaroid photo of her breastfeeding her infant son before a live music show. Dressed in a two piece outfit, she can be seen standing up and breastfeeding baby Forrest. In the caption she simply wrote: “Pre show vibes these days”. Maddie welcomed her first child with husband Jonah back in September 2023.
Kourtney Kardashian Barker showed her millions of followers all her recent goings-on with a series of photos added to her Instagram account. One of those photos was a picture of Kourtney pumping milk as she stood in black heels and a black lacy bodysuit, using a manual breast pump to express milk. Many of her followers thanked her and praised her for normalising pumping, with baremotherhood_ remarking: ‘Love to see pumping normalized like this ’.
Singer and Presenter Fleur East is on a mission to normalise breastfeeding and pumping in public. In support of World Breastfeeding Week (1-7 August) Fleur uploaded a series of photos breastfeeding her baby on public transport – which was part of a campaign with Elvie. In the caption she wrote: “I remember feeling nervous about breastfeeding in public for the first time and being judged or made to feel uncomfortable. I was always reassured when I saw another Mother doing the same or when others were just accepting of it…” Breastfeeding in public continues to carry a stigma and we love that Fleur is showing how normal it is!
Singer Anne Marie welcomed her first baby earlier this year and whilst she hasn’t posted very much about her new family life, this month she did share a candid photo of breastfeeding her newborn atop her bed. In the caption she wrote: “I love this little one like you wouldn’t believe.”
At the beginning of March, Olympic Judo champion Clarisse Agbegnenou celebrated victory at the Tashkent Grand Slam. She uploaded a series of photos from the event, including one of her breastfeeding her baby whilst holding her impressive medal. Clarisse has been one of the French athletes who has been advocating for better facilities for breastfeeding athletes at the Paris Olympics. She is clearly showcasing you can be the top of your game whilst continuing to breastfeed your child.
