Helen Flanagan shares honest post about parenting struggles as she stops breastfeeding

Helen Flanagan has shared an honest post about parenting struggles as she told fans she has stopped breastfeeding.

The former Corrie star, 31, took to her Instagram over the weekend and explained to her followers she has had a “challenging” few weeks.

Helen – who is mum to Matilda, six, Delilah, three, and Charlie, one, with her fiancé Scott Sinclair – told fellow mums she has made a series of decisions to make life easier.

She announced she is going to stop breastfeeding and plans on getting childcare for the first time.

The star posted: “I’ve decided to stop feeding. I’ve really enjoyed nursing Charlie but the past month I’ve just had enough.

“Today was the first day I’m trying to gradually wean him off during the day (he feeds too much).

“I love being a mum and I’m so grateful for my babies, but I’ve just felt so drained so making some changes.”

Helen continued: “Found the past weeks quite challenging with mum life. I think it’s quite good to be honest as we see such perfect images of motherhood on social media.

“I’ve never had any childcare for Charlie but I’ve decided to get some week. To help him eat more and get off the boob. It’s just different stages and they will pass.”

Recently, Helen revealed all three of her children were ill with Scarlet fever.

The TV star sought advice from fans after she noticed her son Charlie “refusing to eat”.

Helen took to Instagram to share her worries after all three children contracted the nasty infection.

Alongside a photo of her daughter Delilah, who was fast asleep on the sofa, Helen wrote: “All the kids have Scarlet Fever. Glad to know what it is after Delilah not been herself and the medicine to treat it.”

Helen recently enjoyed some quality time with Charlie and her fiancé Scott in Dubai at the end of last month after expressing her worry over her son not eating.

She wrote recently: “Charlie will just not eat I’m going to take him to a specialist this week.

“He eats nothing and I’m still feeding him like he’s six months.

“I’ve tried not feeding him with milk so he’ll eat more but he just has no interest in food and he just wants the boob.”
