World Breastfeeding in Public Day will be celebrating its third year on 22 February 2024. Leading the organisation of this years series of events is Danielle Facey from The Breastfeeding Mentor.
What is World Breastfeeding in Public Day?
World Breastfeeding In Public Day was first set-up by breastfeeding mother Destiny Smith. The aim of the day is to recognize the importance of breastfeeding and to give mother’s the confidence to breastfeed their babies in public places.
For the last two years Danielle Facey from The Breastfeeding Mentor has been instrumental in spreading awareness of World Breastfeeding in Public Day. In 2022 she hosted the flagship UK event in Birmingham City, UK and you can read more about that here. When it came to last year’s event, Danielle helped mothers across the UK and beyond ‘drop the cover’ and feed out and about with confidence.
